t both the Master’s and Doctoral level, students have the opportunity to take courses with faculty who have a wide range of scholarly interests and specializations. Students in our programs also receive extensive one-on-one mentoring from faculty in the development of their thesis and dissertation projects.

The departmental faculty are highly involved in publishing in many forms: scholarly books and articles, commissioned reports, novels, plays, literary reviews, as well as, in their role as public intellectuals, media commentaries on issues of the day. Numerous members of our faculty have appointments in various national and international organizations and many hold positions of leadership in academic professional organizations in gender studies or in other disciplines.
